USSB --- Upflow Staged Sludge Bed
Anaerobic microorganism treatment is an indispensable treatment section in the current high concentration organic wastewater sewage water treatment process. It is better that aerobic microorganism treatment not only has low energy consumption, but also can produce biogas as a secondary use of energy. The higher the anaerobic reaction volume load is, the higher the oxygen reaction is, and the lower the investment is for treating the same amount of COD anaerobic reaction.
At present, the commonly used anaerobic treatment processes include:
UASB --- Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed/Blanket
EGSB --- Expanded Granular Sludge Blanket Reactor
CSTR --- Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor
IC --- Internal Circulation Anaerobic Reactor
ABR --- Anaerobic Baffled Reactor
UBF --- Upflow Sludge Bed Filter
AF --- Anaerobic Biofilter
AFBR --- Anaerobic Fluidized Bed Reactor
USSB --- Upflow Staged Sludge Bed
AAFEB --- Anaerobic Attached microbial Film Expanded Bed
USR --- Upflow solid anaerobic reactor
PPR --- Plug Flow Reactor
Two-phase Anaerobic Reactor
USSB --- Upflow Staged Sludge Bed
USSB is the abbreviation of upflow staged sludge bed reactor. In the reactor, the reaction zone is divided into several parts, and the gas produced in each part escapes after water sealing. The whole reactor is equivalent to a series of UASB reactor combinations.
UASB is the abbreviation of (Up flow Anaerobic Sludge Bed/Blanket). It is called up-flow anaerobic sludge bed reactor, which is an anaerobic biological method for sewage treatment, also called up-flow anaerobic sludge bed.
Working Principle of UASB
Sewage flows through UASB from bottom to top. There is a sludge bed with high concentration and high activity at the bottom of the reactor, where most of the organic pollutants in the sewage are degraded into methane and carbon dioxide through anaerobic fermentation. Due to the agitation of water flow and bubbles, there is a sludge suspension layer above the sludge bed.
Three-phase separator is set at the upper part of the reactor to separate digested gas, digested liquid and sludge particles. Digestive gas is exported from the top of the reactor; The sludge particles automatically slide down and settle to the sludge bed at the bottom of the reactor; Digestive liquid is discharged from the clarification zone.
UASB has a large load capacity and is suitable for the treatment of high concentration organic wastewater. The UASB with good operation has a high removal rate of organic pollutants without stirring and can adapt to large load impact, temperature and pH changes.
Advantages
1. There is a lot of biomass in the sludge bed, and the converted concentration can be calculated as 20~30g/L;
2. The volumetric loading rate is high, which can generally reach 10kgCOD/(m) under medium temperature fermentation conditions ³• d) About 15~40kgCOD/(m) ³• d) The hydraulic retention time of wastewater in the reactor is relatively short, so the required tank capacity is greatly reduced.
3. The equipment is simple and easy to operate. There is no need to set sedimentation tank and sludge reflux device, no need to fill, and no need to set mechanical mixing device in the reaction zone. The cost is relatively low, easy to manage, and there is no blocking problem.
