- Large processing capacity, low moisture content of filter cake, low noise, low energy consumption, and continuous operation.
- Suitable for solid-liquid separation of feces and water in large and medium-sized aquaculture farms.
Disadvantages:
- High equipment costs, multiple moving parts, and high maintenance volume.
- High pressure water spraying is required to wash the filter belt, which increases the load of the water treatment system due to the large amount of water.
Centrifuge
Advantages:
- The equipment occupies a small area.
- Fast separation speed and high separation efficiency.
- High total solid removal rate and low water content of filter residue.
- Suitable for solid-liquid separation of feces and water in large aquaculture farms.
Disadvantages:
- High equipment investment, high energy consumption, and difficult maintenance.
- Someone must be present during operation and the labor intensity of the operators is high.
Inclined plate screen extruder
Advantages:
- Maximum processing power.
- Low cost, low operating expenses, simple structure, and convenient maintenance.
